Hi all...
I was asked by a good friend of mine to shoot some photos of her son. He was going on an audition and she needed an updated portfolio of him. Here are some of the shots I thought I would share. He's an awesome kid & VERY photogenic.

Long time no see. Haven't had much of anything to say hence the longgggggg pause in posting. I just wanted to share some photos I took. I've been learning to use my digital camera. What do you think?

The first three shots were taken at the Rio Grande River here in town. The last shot is an historic restaurant in an historic neighborhood in Albuquerque.

Nothing really too exciting going on today. Although I did finish a project I had started. I bought an Adirondack chair and painted it to look like those that they sell at all the Jimmy Buffett Margaritaville Bar/Restaurants around the country (beach scene). It was actually fun.

It's my wife's boss' birthday tomorrow and she is really into the Margaritaville thing so I think she'll like it. Those damn things sell for $300-$500 apiece!!

I guess I should get off my lazy ass and do more of that money making thing instead of spending my time on my evil mistress...the computer.

I got my ass chewed out by a friend of mine, AGAIN. He's a 74 year old airbrush artist who is a bad-ass. He's been doing this shtuff for 50 years and I like to consider myself kinda his protoge. He's always chewing my ass out about how I could be making over $100,000.00 a year doing more of my artwork on cars, trucks, etc. and how my priorities are f***d up. He's probably right. Someday.

What I'd really like to do is go into business for myself 'cuz right now I feel I can compete with who I consider the "big boys". I have some talented friends who have wanted to go into business with me, there is one very creative person in particular, with whom, I think I can make an agency/studio work. Unfortunately, there are some extenuating circumstances beyond my control that are hampering my efforts. Oh well, maybe one day.

Just a quick thanks to "Porchwise"! I appreciate the kind compliment on my mural. It's always wonderful to hear someone say that they enjoy my work. To answer your question...unfortunately, I don't have any oils or any other paintings for sale at this time. I'm a graphic artist so I spend a lot of my time after work (where I'm a graphic artist), doing the same thing that I do at work. I design logos, brochures, posters, etc.

When I do get a chance to paint, it is usually something someone has commissioned so they sell right away. I guess that's a good thing.

I am just barely starting to do my art just for the sake of art and not for commercial purposes. Then...the rent and everything else sneaks up on you like Kirstey Alley on a piece of cake and all the "artsy" stuff goes out the window in order to pay the bills.

Should be sleeping...

I really should be going to sleep. I am so sleepy, my head keeps falling. I am hooked on reading other people's blogs that I can't make it to my bed which is like 6" from my computer desk.

I've also been perusing the blogs of friends.

My friend and I are pretty new to this blogging stuff and we're getting to like it a little too much. I'm sure most of you can relate. We really want to master the pic downloading and we are trying to figure out how some people have really cool templates or backgrounds.
